Response to Covid-19

Covid-19 has revealed a shadow pandemic of violence against women and girls. Partners have been working to educate communities on limiting the spread of Covid and the risk of GBV. ISOKO has been working with partners to help coordinate the response.

Mask Making

Partner organizations have transformed and answered the Covid call. To meet the needs in the community to prevent the spread, some began making products such as soap and masks and distributing them to the community.

Covid-19 Advocacy

Our partners, such as Benimpuhwe in Rwanda, have been raising awareness about human rights amid the pandemic, including regarding children's rights and protecting them from child labor & sexual exploitation.

Covid Campaigns

ISOKO partners have created strategic campaigns to raise awareness on Covid, Hundreds participated in the #CoronavirusPasChezMoi social media campaign in DRC, pledging "Coronavirus not at home."

Fathers and Covid

Fathers who care for their children are also less violent, and have stronger, happier relationships. Our partners at RWAMREC in Rwanda have been a leader in developing successful programming for men and fathers.
